Where to eat at Beachy Head
The following eateries are all within a
relatively short driving distance of the lighthouse.
The nearest pub is The Beachy Head, part of the
Vintage Inns chain, and is just 5 minutes up the
road about 5mins away in the car. They serve good
‘pub’ food all day. In the other direction is The
Tiger pub in the village of East Dean offering a
slightly ‘finer’ selection of meals - there is also
a Thai Restaurant in the village. In addition,
Eastbourne is the nearest town - about 10mins away
in the car.

In the other direction, also five minutes away,
is the Tiger Inn pub, in the village of East Dean.
The Tiger Inn at East Dean is probably the finest
pub in Sussex. The Observer newspaper described it
as “idyllic” with its low beams, log fires, cosy
settles, fresh home made food and a warm welcome.
The Tiger has also been praised by the Sunday Times
as a very pretty long, low, quintessentially English
Pub on the edge of the village green. The Tourism
board has recently awarded the Tiger Inn, with it's
five luxury bedrooms, four stars for their quality.
